About Us

Discovering grace is at the heart of our church, shaping our beliefs and actions. We hold firm that everything pivots on understanding and accepting God’s grace through the work of His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus lived the life we should have lived, died the death we should have died, rose from the grave to secure for us eternal life, and invites us to accept His offer of life through simple faith. We delve into God's grace through acts of worship, studying the Bible, and prayer. The depth of this grace leads to deeper community and a heart for serving others. Join us as we embark on this amazing journey of discovering God’s grace together.

Our Purpose

Grace on Main exists to glorify God and to further His Kingdom through enjoying the grace we have in Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

Grace on Main is a safe church family where we, as people of South Shelby County, discover the grace of Jesus Christ and share the love of God.

Our Vision

Our vision is to make a connection with God, with each other, and the community through discovering grace, enjoying community, and serving others.

  • Discovering Grace – We aim to explore the beauty and goodness of God for all of life through biblical truth, God-centered worship, and prayer.

  • Enjoying Community – We seek to bring people of various ages, backgrounds, socio-economic status, cultures, and preferences together who will demonstrate love, respect, care, and support for one another.

  • Serving Others – We want to be aware of the needs of the people around us and then take action to help meet those needs, both physically and spiritually.

Our Values

There are certain non-negotiable values that characterize Grace.

  • Grace – God’s unconditional acceptance and full forgiveness is given through the person and work of Jesus Christ. This grace is what motivates and transforms us to imitate Him as we interact with others.

  • The Word of God – The Bible, God’s very Word, is the ultimate authority and without any sort of error. It is where and how God tells us the good news of His gracious offer of salvation, as well as how we, as His children, are to live out the new life we have in Jesus Christ.

  • Christ-centered – Jesus is the focal point of everything we do, and we are to be completely dependent on and submissive to Him. This is outwardly demonstrated through repentant prayer, humble faith, and obedient living. The more intimate we become with Jesus, the more compelled we are to grow as followers of Jesus and, as a result, proclaim His excellencies to the world.

  • Worship – We are to love the Lord our God with everything that we have and are. Loving God is our most consuming and glorious calling in all aspects of our lives.

  • Dignity of every person – The Bible tells us that every single human being is created in the image of God and must therefore be treated with dignity, respect, and love.

  • Local community – We are purposefully placed by God to bring God’s Kingdom blessing to Columbiana and South Shelby County. We will do this through sacrificial work and merciful service, toward both individuals and groups in the community.

  • Good News – The good news of salvation that God has shown to us is to be proclaimed in word and deed to ourselves, one another, and the world.
