A fresh start for weary people who need a lasting hope

A new church is being “planted” in Columbiana. It is designed for both those already convinced of the message of Jesus and those who are “cautiously curious.” It aims to be a place for friends who love church as well as for neighbors who are unchurched, de-churched, or skeptical of church. Despite having diverse backgrounds, our common experience is that life is hard and we often feel exhausted. Nevertheless, within this community, we hold firm to the belief that there is good news that offers hope and meaning amidst life's challenges.

We invite you, our neighbors in Columbiana and South Shelby County, into this adventure with us. Bring your questions, concerns, wounds, and weariness with you! Together, we’ll look to the God of the Bible who promises to give us rest.

Life With a Limp

Sometimes, there is a misconception that the Christian life is a smooth and effortless journey reserved for the "good" people. However, the accounts of men and women in the Bible challenge this notion. Their narratives unveil the depth of their flaws and the intensity of their struggles. During the first half of 2024, we invite you to delve into the life of Jacob - an ambitious deceiver who found himself crippled and limping after an encounter with God. Yet, through his story, we will examine the profound grace of a God who not only loved Jacob but also bestowed upon him the name "Israel," using him as an instrument for the redemption of His people. This exploration reveals that as we continue to walk with God, our own strength diminishes, compelling us to rely more heavily on Him.
